Who is Dorsa?
My name is Dorsa, I have created this space to learn a little bit more about me, my education, my work, and my experiences which have all helped me become a more globally competent citizen.
I am a dual-enrolled Student at Miami Dade College. I am eager and passionate; My goal in life is to make a difference and give back.
I have learned and am passionate about keeping life simple and always moving forward. I am an advocate for strong leadership and staying positive no matter what obstacles may stand in the way. I appreciate challenges towards personal and professional growth, and I find myself seeking those experiences often.
Observing and learning about life´s complexities and challenges energizes ideas on how best to cope with them. I embrace human rights, justice, travel, science, and math.
I am an active senator at MDC Student Government Association (SGA), repressing students' interests and concerns to the campus leadership.
I am the president of the “She the People” (STP). The focus of STP is to empower female students by educating them on opportunities for themselves as well as giving back to the community.
I am the president of the Youth for Environmental Sustainability YES!, Active volunteerism within the MDC and local communities to empower, empower, motivate, educate, and engage students in environmental sustainability issues.
Other active memberships Include Model United Nations, HOSA Future Health Professionals, Diverse Student Organization, and Refugee Assistance Alliance.
Music and Chorus have become a pivotal part of my life. I believe both can change the world because they can change people. They have brought more love, light, and happiness into my life. They have helped me aim higher and dream bigger.
My passion for travel is not just to travel; it is about learning about different cultures and writing about where I have visited.
